Francisco Mingorance heads the Digital practice. He also helps develop other practice areas, such as trade and intellectual property policy. He serves major international clients in the fields of digital, media & telecoms, IPR, software and hardware issues and competition policy in regard to digital and trade disputes.
Francisco holds a Master in Management of Technology from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL Federal Institute of Engineers, Lausanne, Switzerland) and Texas Business School (Texas University, Austin, USA) and a Master in Law from the University of Geneva, Switzerland. He is a native Spanish speaker and is fluent in English, French, German and Italian.

He serves major international clients in the fields of digital, media & telecoms, IPR, software and hardware issues and competition policy in regard to digital and trade disputes.
Prior to cabinet DN he was Senior Director for Government Affairs EMEA to the Business Software Alliance (BSA). He advised BSA companies including Apple, Microsoft, Cisco and SAP on public policy and legislative developments on intellectual property protection, Internet security and other sector-specific technology issues. During his tenure at the helm of BSA Europe, Francisco was active in a number of highly publicized policy debates, including the European Directive on the patentability of computer software and in recent efforts to promote fairer market access and IP protection for European companies active in China. Francisco also held a position of Technical Advisor for the European Commission (DG Development) and served as Executive Director for the Fondation du Présent (FdP), an international advocacy group on IP protection and access to essential medicines in developing countries. Francisco is co-founder of Magic Network, an independent software company developing JAVA mainframes emulators; and was a Legal Advisor for WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization).
