Gauthier works mainly on financial services regulation.
Prior to joining cabinet DN, Gauthier was assistant to Jean-Paul Gauzès, Member of the European Parliament, Coordinator for the EPP group in the ECON Committee. During a traineeship in the DG Communication of the Parliament, he gained extensive knowledge of institutional communication policy.
Gauthier is a graduate from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and holds a post-graduate degree in European affairs from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Strasbourg.
He speaks French and English and has a basic command of German and Spanish.
