Jacob Lund Nielsen
Jacob is the Managing Partner of cabinetDN, which he co-founded in 2005. cabinet DN is today the largest independent public affairs consultancy in Brussels. Jacob provides strategic advice and advocacy support to large multinational clients in the fields of technology, media, financial services, and transport.
He is a co-founder of MediaTrack, a media monitoring business based in Singapore and the Philippines and sits on board of its former subsidiary Retriever Danmark, sold to the Scandinavian media monitoring group Retriever in 2012.
He is the founder and board member to Financial Future, a UK-based non-for- profit group which aims to improve mutual understanding of key issues between legislators and the financial services industry. Members include some of the world’s largest financial institutions.
He is co-founder of the social networking site PapaFootball.com helping thousands of amateur soccer players meet up and play some ball!
Jacob frequently provides comment on European affairs, entrepreneurship, and politics, in various international and Danish media and as a public speaker and panelist. He is an individual member (trustee) of the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies since 2011.
He has previously worked as the Executive Director of the European Enterprise Institute, as political advisor in the European Parliament, and interned with the Royal Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He was for two terms a visiting lecturer with the Charles University, Prague, teaching postgraduate studies in comparative politics and European integration strategies. He holds an MSc in Political Science from Aarhus University, Denmark,with further studies at Sciences-Po and Sorbonne in Paris, France. He is a former Young Leader with the American Council on Germany and Die Zeit Stiftung.
