Lola Uña Cárdenas


Lola has many years of experience as a senior public affairs and communications advisor in Brussels. She previously held the position of Chief Representative for the EU of the Brazilian Sugarcane Industry Association (UNICA). In this capacity, she also provided strategic oversight to shape and implement UNICA’s advocacy programmes. Prior to this, Lola worked as the EU affairs Director at ECG, the Association of European Vehicle Logistics, developing the Association’s network of contacts with policymakers and other stakeholders, and as a Consultant at Kreab & Gavin Anderson, where she handled a portfolio of transport, environmental and various other clients.

Her substantial experience in the field of public affairs and strategic communications is complemented by extensive knowledge of policymaking that she has gained after 13 years dealing with issues in the Brussels arena.

She speaks fluent English, Italian, Portuguese, and Dutch, besides Spanish as her mother tongue. She also has a very good command of French and Finnish.
