Before joining cabinet DN, Maya was a stagiaire with the Royal Dutch Shell Company, in their European Union Liason Office. She supported the team in charge of EU policies on Energy, Environment and Climate Change.
Maya has a Master’s Degree in European Studies from the Institute of European Studies in Brussels, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the New Bulgarian University in Sofia, Bulgaria.
In addition to her Bulgarian mother tongue, Maya is fluent in English and French.
