Maya Pavlova Doneva


Maya is responsible for the energy and environment practice at cabinet DN. She advises clients on a broad range of policy issues across the energy sector as well as on horizontal policies such as CSR and employment.

Before joining cabinet DN in 2011, Maya worked with the Royal Dutch Shell, in their European Liaison Office in Brussels. She supported the team in charge of EU policies on Energy, Environment and Climate Change.

Previously to that, Maya worked for the trade department of the Belgian embassy in Bulgaria and the Representation of Bulgaria to the United Nations in Geneva.

Maya is a Bulgarian national, she has studied Political Science in New Bulgarian University in Sofia and has a Master’s degree in European Politics from the Free University of Brussels. She has also completed an executive leadership programme at the University of California Berkeley.

Maya speaks English, French and Italian besides Bulgarian as her mother tongue.
