After a consular experience in France, Veronique spent 2 years in the European Parliament in Brussels before joining, in 1989, the EFPIA and the pharmaceutical sector where she covered several disciplines over the years (regulatory, legal, communication and public affairs). She joined the private companies world in 1996, whereby she set up from scratch the Public & Government Affairs Department for the former Aventis (ex- French-American company RPR) by increasing their representability of the company in the EU scene. She repeated the same exercise with Sanofi a couple of years later where she became Vice-President of European Public & Government Affairs, also serving as advisor on EU affairs to the CEO and to the high-level management of the company, at that time.
Early in 2010, she created her own advisory office as an independent policy advisor specialising in pharmaceuticals, medical devices and related issues to health. She also added a mandate of Managing Director from her own company, ACOPOL sprl, where she is still providing support for companies directly and has also supported the team of some consultancies in Brussels.
Veronique is strongly experienced in European advocacy and in leading public affairs missions in the private sector as well as for the associations connected to healthcare. To her strong background in public affairs policy for healthcare related matters and an in-depth knowledge of European decision-making processes, she also benefits from an extensive network within the European institutions and with some national capitals. She has demonstrated skills in building relationships within companies and in external institutions and has the ability to secure short – mid and long-term company objectives from an economic and market access perspective.
